Wisconsin employer threatens workers if they vote for President Obama

Mike White, chairman and owner of Milwaukee based Rite-Hite, sent the following email to employees about the upcoming presidential election:

"[Employees] should understand the personal consequences to them of having our tax rates increase dramatically if President Obama is re-elected, forcing taxpayers to fund President Obama's future deficits and social programs (including Obamacare), which require bigger government."

This appears to violate Wisconsin statute 12.07 which expressly forbids "threats intended to influence the political opinions or actions of the employees."

Please sign our petition calling on the Wisconsin attorney general to investigate whether or not Mr. White broke the law when he sent this email to employees. We'll make sure the attorney general's office gets the signatures.

To the office of the Wisconsin attorney general–

Please investigate an email sent by chairman and owner Mike White of the Rite-Hite company for possible violations of Wisconsin statute 12.07 (3) when he sent a letter to employees stating:

"[A]ll employees should understand the personal consequences to them of having our tax rates increase dramatically if President Obama is re-elected, forcing taxpayers to fund President Obama's future deficits and social programs (including Obamacare), which require bigger government."
