Tell Congress to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act

The Violence Against Women Act has helped curtail domestic violence and sexual assault by providing critical funding for police training since it was first passed in 1994.

However, in the 112th Congress, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives failed to reauthorize an expanded version of the Violence Against Women Act that passed the Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support. As a result, women and police forces around the country now have reduced resources to deal with domestic violence and sexual assault.

Please sign the petition below urging the 113th Congress to reauthorize the expanded, bi-partisan version of the Violence Against Women Act.

To the 113th Congress:

Please reauthorize the expanded, bi-partisan version of the Violence Against Women Act. It is vital to curtailing domestic violence and sexual assault across the country.
