Become a citizen co-sponsor of the Department of Justice investigation of the Pennsylvania voter ID law
The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a formal inquiry into new voter ID laws in Pennsylvania for possible violations of the Civil Rights Voting Act, including discrimination and disenfranchisement.
When state legislators passed the law, they claimed that less than 1% of the population lacked the necessary identification. Now, estimates are many times higher, it's closer to 20% in some places, like Philadelphia, which votes majority Democratic.
Sign the petition supporting the DOJ investigation, urging them to stop the voter ID law from disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania voters.
