Tell the Senate to stand up for voting rights
The Supreme Court may be on the verge of undoing over four decades of voter protection efforts that have led to increased access to the polls and strengthened civil rights in our country.
If the conservative bloc of the Supreme Court, led by Antonin Scalia, strikes down key provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, then we need our senators to immediately restore equality and fairness to the voting system by introducing and passing corrective legislation.
Please join with Daily Kos and our partners at EMILY’s List as we petition the Senate to stand up for expanded voting rights. EMILY's List will deliver the signatures through Senator Amy Klobuchar and the Democratic women in the Senate standing up for voting rights.
We must remain committed to protecting our right to vote and we cannot allow anyone to try and restrict our access to the polls. If key aspects of the Voting Rights Act are struck down, then we must introduce and pass corrective legislation.
