Tell the Virginia Board of Health: Stand up to Ken Cuccinelli

In 2010, Virginia legislators passed a bill with onerous new regulations that were designed to close all Virginia health clinics that provide abortions. Initially, the Virginia Board of Health exempted existing clinics from the new regulations, meaning that they would be able to keep their doors open without making renovations that would cost $1,000,000 or more.

However, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli refused to certify the board’s decision. He threatened to withhold the state’s legal counsel from the Virginia Board of Health, thus opening the individual members of the board up to litigation they would have to pay for our of their own pockets.

Now, after months of stalling, at a meeting on April 12 the Board of Health has to issue a final ruling on whether or not the new regulations will apply to all health clinics in the state.

Please email the Virginia Board of Health to stand up to Ken Cuccinelli and vote against new regulations that were designed to close all health clinics that offers abortions. Use the form below to send an email to the Virginia Board of Health before the final vote.
