Tell Congress to save the Voting Rights Act

A recent 5-4 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by invalidating its preclearance formula. And we are already seeing its effects.

From Texas to Alaska, lawmakers are quickly making it harder for people to vote—such as passing restrictive voter ID laws, and cutting back on early-voting hours.

We urgently need Congress to restore strength to this incredibly important tool for protecting voting rights.

Sign the petition urging Congress to save the Voting Rights Act by creating a new preclearance formula.
