Tell U.S. Senate: Crack down on sexual assault in the military

Last year alone, it was estimated that there were 26,000 unwanted sexual contacts, assaults and rapes throughout all branches of the U.S. military. But of those, only 3,374 were reported.

Victims tell us this is because they think nothing will be done or else fear a backlash from commanders, who are currently in charge of handling sexual assault cases in the military.

That’s why Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) has proposed a bill that would remove commanders from handling sexual assault cases, instead putting seasoned military lawyers in charge of prosecuting these crimes.

Tell the U.S. Senate to take action against sexual assault in the military by passing Sen. Gillibrand’s Military Justice Improvement Act.
