Sign and send the petition to your governor: Expand Medicaid and save lives

The Affordable Care Act allows millions of more Americans to qualify for Medicaid, but the Supreme Court said that states can refuse the expansion.

Twenty-four states have opted out—even though the federal government would pay for it—simply because Republicans hate Obamacare.

In other words, many Republican governors and state legislatures are denying health care coverage to millions of their constituents, and it is literally a matter of life or death.

A recent Harvard study shows that states rejecting the Medicaid expansion will mean eight million uninsured Americans, and up to 17,000 premature and avoidable deaths.

If you live in one of these states, please sign and send a petition to your governor: urging them to accept the Medicaid expansion. Personalizing your message with your own story goes a long way to make these letters more effective.
